Job Description:

The Project Manager is responsible for maintaining the assigned projects in satisfactory standing concerning documentation and data requirements, including correspondence, submittals, analyses, manuals, quality data, test data, and field support information. The Project Manager is also responsible for managing the System Architecture and Configuration Management Plan for each project, or series of projects, as assigned.This position acts as a point of contact for external and internal Customer sets and coordinating requirements for new vendors and of new customers. The Project Manager also tracks documentation requirements to the Master Project Schedule, and reviews project margins for design to cost issues.The Project Manager reports directly to the President and VP of Operations, liaises with the VP of Engineering, and will be responsible for keeping an eye on prospective requests for proposal from potential customer sets, as assigned.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Establish contract related system architectural summaries of components and affected documentation in summary format for the review and approval of all department managers.

  • Produce or review correspondence, designs, and data requirement submittals for each assigned contract.

  • Manage the flow of information and the changes within system architectures and their components to represent an accurate and complete project evolution captured both in electronic and hard formats.

  • Maintain model and serial number configurations for each project, or series of projects.

  • Formalize and submit Operation and Maintenance Technical Manuals, Test Plans and Test Reports, Installation and Field Support Guidance, Integrated Logistics Support Data, and coordinate high level 3rd Party Testing.

  • Remain abreast of Customer and 3rd party certification authority changes in contractual processes and monitor websites, such as, eagle.org and dnvgl.com, for changes in guidance and requirements concerning the project.

  • Assist in cost and technical proposal preparation and review with an eye to performance, design, documentation, and testing considerations.

Other

  • Support project coordination, purchasing, shipping & receiving, inventory management, and record-keeping as it applies to the scope.

  • Support and participate in the organization’s continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.

  • Review project and component Contractual Specifications as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

2.1 EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • Bachelor degree required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Three (3) years of experience in Technical Data Generation and management in Production, Fabrication, or Service related fields.
  • Experience in the military, commercial manufacturing, or engineering services a plus.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus.

2.3 KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of Project Management principals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask and communicate well with all levels of personnel.
  • Accountable for own actions.
