Job Description:

The Technician - Shop Service Level 1 is responsible for the effective repair of machinery and components at high levels of quality. This individual is required to work in conjunction with a Technician - Shop Service Level 3 or a Technician - Shop Service Level 2 and perform duties as instructed.

Specific responsibilities may include:

*Perform all conversions, assemblies, and repairs at the highest possible level of quality.

*Minimize rework of conversions, assemblies, and repairs.

*Clean all parts using solvents and other chemicals as directed in a safe manner.

*Maintain and care for shop tools.

1.Obtain all specialty tools used on the job using the methods established.

2.Clean all tools and special equipment used on repairs before they are returned.

3.Return all specialty tools used on jobs to their original location in working condition.

*Calibrate equipment as needed as defined by Hydraquip procedures and work instructions.

*Communicate with others professionally.

1.Conduct all communications with co-workers in a polite and professional manner.

*Follow all training assigned as directed.

1.Complete all training offered as assigned.

*Carry out all duties and responsibilities in an ethical and conscientious manner.

*Support and participate in the organization’s continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001:2008 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.

*Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

*High school diploma or G.E.D.

*Technical school certificate or associate’s degree a plus.

*Experience as described below may be accepted in lieu of education.

EXPERIENCE

*Up to two (2) years of experience in mechanical repairs.

*Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

*Strong personal skills and desire for growth as an individual and technician.

*Good communication skills.

*Good, safe work habits.

*Strong aptitude for mechanical repairs of equipment and mechanical systems.

*Strong motivation to grow as an individual and as a technician.
