Job Description:

The International Sales position is responsible for proactively servicing existing and prospective clientele to grow market share within the North and South American, Asian, and European/Middle Eastern Markets.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Attain corporate revenue, margin, and strategic objectives.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan targeting markets through account-specific sales channels.

  • Establish role as primary interface to specified accounts.

  • Develop senior-level customer relationships supporting the organization's business plan.

  • Establish and maintain successful customer relationships.

  • Serve as liaison to Purchasing, Marketing, Sales, and Executive departments within specified accounts.

  • Identify, articulate, and respond to customer requirements.

  • Influence messaging development and oversee training for specified accounts.

  • Market products to specified account sales forces.

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy accomplishing stated business objectives.

  • Travel throughout assigned territory to solicit orders from specified customers.

  • Quote prices, credit terms, and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.

  • Prepare business reports, transactions, and maintain expense accounts.

  • Support and participate in the organization’s continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001:2008 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

  • International studies and experience preferred.

  • MBA preferred.

  • Two (2) to five (5) years of field experience selling hydraulic, pneumatic and/or electronic automation components/systems.

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years related experience and/or training.

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Fluid Power Specialist Certification desired; such certification is required to be obtained within three (3) years of employment.

  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

  • Ability to investigate problems to avoid reoccurrence, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Proficient with manufacturing software, design software and database software.

  • Ability to work well under pressure.
